Object history

Deutsch: Der goldene Schrägbalken und die zwei goldenen Sterne stammen von einem Siegelabdruck aus dem Jahr 1295 mit der Umschrift SIGILLVM CIVITATIS BVRON. Der halbe Adler ist ein Symbol für den Status der Stadt als Reichsstadt und erscheint erstmals auf einem Sekretsiegel von 1323. Die Stadtfarben Kaufbeuren sind Rot und Gelb und lassen sich seit der Mitte des 15. Jahrhunderts nachweisen.
